Matt Thompson, Owner and Chief Investigator of M.W. Thompson Investigative Services, has been providing confidential and professional investigative services throughout Northern California since 1996.  Our clients include individuals, law firms, governmental agencies, corporations and insurance companies.  Although our specialty predominantly entails surveillance on domestic issues such as spousal infidelity and child custody matters, we also have almost two decades of experience handling criminal investigations, background investigations and skip tracing/locates.  However, we are a full-service investigative agency and have associates that can handle any investigative need.  Additionally, although we are based in Sacramento County and the majority of our investigations are conducted in the vicinity of Sacramento County, we have associates that can handle your investigative needs throughout the entire state of California.

We are fully insured and licensed by the State of California (CA PI#24051). We are also lifetime members of the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI), the largest private investigator association in the world.
